Prof Nigel Hooper left the University of Leeds after 32 years in May 2014 to take up the position of Chair of Cell Biology in the Institute of Brain, Behaviour and Mental Health at the University of Manchester. As we didn’t quite catch him before he left, Prof Hooper kindly returned to Leeds to tell us about why clinical trails for Alzheimer’s disease need rethinking.

Find out more about the work of Prof Hooper’s group on the involvement of the prion protein in β-amyloid toxicity and the involvement of cholesterol.
